Koreatown Playa Cabana In The Offing

Have you tried Playa Cabana yet? The Mexican restaurant on Dupont in our area -- and other locations -- is booming and yet another location is due to open in Seaton Village's Koreatown.
It's got a reputation as a good place for Girls' Night Out, which, in turn, would draw the opposite sex, I assume.
I would bet money that the new Koreatown location will be just as popular as the other locations.
Cheers,

Vanessa

Playa Cabana, the instant-hit-of-a-Mexican restaurant on Dupont, was written up on Post City for its Tres Leches cake.
"
A Latin American version of tiramisu of[sic] rum cake, the traditional tres leches cake is a sponge or angel cake that’s soaked in whole milk (or heavy cream, if you’re lucky!), evaporated milk and – this is the clincher because nothing can go wrong with [sic] you’ve got – condensed milk."
I wrote about the restaurant when I dined there last winter, too. Lovely spot.
Cheers,
Vanessa

Playa Cabana

I cook dinner every night for my family, so it's a special treat to hit the town with girlfriends once in awhile for a good gab and a meal. When margaritas are involved, even better... which is how I found myself at Playa Cabana on an unnaturally balmy winter evening a few weeks ago.
Have you been?
It's on Dupont, just east of Davenport, and has a charming-looking little patio out front. Yummy Mexican food, interesting decor and only slightly surly/inattentive service. I'll take it!
Forewarning: it's usually packed, so make reservations.
Cheers,
Vanessa
