Family Day Around The Corner

January went by in a blink and I was a little surprised to discover that this weekend is a long one for Family Day. Some school kids have Friday off, as well. 
My kids are teenagers and make their own plans now, but if you have some wee'juns at home, you might want to stroll over to the ROM.
The venerable institution is offering a slew of family oriented activities this weekend based on a carnival theme.

Dinosaurs Galore at The ROM

When I was a child, next to the Bat Cave, the dinosaurs at The ROM were the biggest draw. Pre-Jurassic Park and rides with animatronics, they were pretty fearsome on display!
The ROM is highlighting dinosaur hunters this fall with a series of lectures to complement its "ultimate" dinosaur exhibit. Unfortunately, the first one took place last Sunday, but the last one doesn't take place until Dec. 8th, so all is not lost!
