Babies Documentary At The Bloor

There's a great documentary, Babies, at The Bloor tonight at 7 pm.
Here's part of a review by Rick Groen, The Globe and Mail: “The premise of this French documentary is simple: Follow four newborns from four corners of the Earth – Namibia, San Francisco, Tokyo, Mongolia – through the first year of their existence. The cultural differences are many, but it’s the commonalities that cry out here, until our global babies seem to be babbling canonically in the same village. Touching and funny and thoughtful too, this William Blake’s “Infant Joy” brought to rich cinematic life.”
Enjoy!

Degrassi Goes Hollywood Screening at The Bloor Tonight

There are certain things that just seem to linger... and linger... and linger. The homegrown Degrassi television show is one of them.
In fact, DH got his first job fresh out of college with Degrassi almost two decades ago now... scary to contemplate that it's been that long, both for DH and the show.
Anyway, the Degrassi franchise made a movie recently, Paradise City: Degrassi Goes Hollywood. If you're a huge fan of the franchise (and there are many!) you may want to catch the screening of Degrassi Goes Hollywood at 8 pm tonight at The Bloor Cinema.
Enjoy,
Vanessa
