Eye Candy: Autumn Memories

Autumn Eye CandyI know that some of you mourn the loss of summer. But I rejoice!Autumn -- always give me autumn.
It's a blustery, (almost) fall day, so I thought that I would share one of my favourite Eye Candy pics with you.
Enjoy!

Eye Candy: Mist, Frost and Sun

News is slow. I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas but, let's face it, even if you don't get a visit from Santa, it's hard to avoid the juggernaut that is The Holidays. For instance, if you attempted to cross Bloor Street this past Sunday, Santa and his sleigh might have mowed you down.
So I guess that there might be a lull in news right now as everyone takes a deep breath and a wee break prior to the onslaught.
Given that there are no tasty neighbourhood tidbits to share, I thought that I would post an autumn pic.
I'm not quite ready to say good bye to my favourite time of year. I like the subtlety of this photo; all the season's glory doesn't belong just to gaudy scarlets and golds.
Cheers,

Vanessa

Eye Candy: Paradise

Sorry for the spotty posting this week. Crazy week getting ready to go to the spot pictured above and environs.
Now I'm there. (Or will be, soon.)
And I won't be posting.
Going to unplug.
Happy Labour Day weekend to everyone!
Vanessa
PS It's Indian Head Cove on the Bruce Peninsula. The famed grotto is nearby.

Eye Candy: Autumn Beauty

I don't know about you, but I'm finding the November weather rather bleak.
The leaves are off the trees, so I say bring on the snow! Blanket everything with a glistening, crystalline layer and make it sparkle.
Then just top up as needed to keep things looking pretty. Thank you!
To brighten our day, I decided to post one more neighbourhood pic of autumn glory. Hard to believe that our streets looked like this just weeks ago.
Cheers,
Vanessa

Eye Candy Friday: Deer In Frosty Field

During Thanksgiving weekend in the country, I was one of the first ones up one morning and I noticed that everything was white and sparkling with frost. So I grabbed my camera and headed outside, where I found two deer making their way across a field.
Lucky, lucky, lucky!
It's easier to see the darker, first one in the photo, but if you look closely, you can see that there's a second beauty trailing the leader.
Thought I would share my lucky sighting with you on this frosty TO morning.
Cheers,
Vanessa

Autumn Eye Candy

I spent the weekend at my sister's farm near Westport and the colours there are in full swing.

The drive back, in particular, was gorgeous!
Thought you'd appreciate a picture, given the dull way this day is starting.
I can't wait until TO is in full, golden-and-red leafy glory.

Cheers,
Vanessa
