Slow news day again, so another pic... I find the rooftops in old cities fascinating. The rooftops in London are a hodgepodge of old chimneys, new devices, various levels and lots of ornamentation. It's similar in Old Quebec and because the city has a distinct upper and lower level, when you're in Haute Ville you can find some interesting views of the rooftops below.
How often do you get to look down on rooftops, anyway?
And, truth be told, it always reminds me of Mary Poppins and Dick Van Dyke dancing with his chimney sweeps on charming rooftops, which seemed like a magical place.
So sue me.
