May 10th St. Alban's Plant Sale

It is just soooooo hard to imagine a lush garden right now. No -- can't do it.
But we all know that come the May long weekend, we'll be toiling in our little plots of fecund soil. Yeah!
So mark this date on your calendar: on May 10th St. Alban's on Palmerston Avenue holds its annual Plant Sale.
Stock up for your garden, help a good cause and have a yap with your neighbours.
What's not to love?
Cheers,
Vanessa

PS it's also a Garage Sale and BBQ, so go hungry and with cash to spare!

This was on St. Alban's Facebook page, so hold off buying those plants till May 11th! And if you're doing some Spring cleaning, consider donating items for the garage sale.
"Ready to start working on your garden? Purchase your plants at the annual fundraising plant sale.
The youth will be running a barbecue and garage sale to raise funds for their trip to Vancouver. Donations for the garage sale will be accepted at the Club starting on May 1st."

Seaton Village Garage Sale May 14th

To our neighbours to the west: dust off your trash and sell it as treasure this Saturday.
Here's the scoop from the Seaton Village Residents' Association:
"Dear Seaton Village Resident,

We would like to invite you to participate in the SVRA Village Wide Yard Sale happening on Saturday, May 14, 2011 - 9am - 2pm.
What we are hoping to coordinate is the biggest yard sale ever by having all residents hold their own lawn yard sale at the same time.
We will promote the event far and wide.
All you have to do is clean out your storage rooms, set up your own sale in your yard, sell your own items, make some cash and meet your neighbours.
This date coincides with the annual plant sale that happens out front of St. Alban's Boys & Girls Club every year so, it's a double whammy.
If you could let us know that you intend to participate we would appreciate the feedback

By now, faithful readers of this Blog will know the story of The Children's Storefront. There is a garage sale this Saturday to benefit this lovely place, which has nurtured many parents and children.

Garage & Bake Sale To Benefit The Children's Storefront

Okay... unfortunately, I was given wrong information and there's no rummage drop off at St. Alban's this week and my original post, which is below, is correct.
But it's not too late! You can bring rummage directly to the sale site on the day of the sale (Saturday, Dec. 19th) beginning at 9 am.
Sorry for all of the confusion.

VR
Mark December 19th on your calendar: from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm there will be a massive garage and bake sale at Scadding Court Community Centre with proceeds benefitting The Children's Storefront.
Spread the word and if you want to donate items to sell, here's the scoop:
"If you have baked goodies to donate, just bring them down. We are collecting used toys and books for the sale in early December, Tuesday through Thursday, at our temporary location, the St Albans Boys and Girls Club, on Palmerston Avenue, one block south of Dupont.
So from Dec 1-3 and 8-10, you can leave things off at St. Albans, from 9 am until 2 pm."
Get rooting through those toy boxes and closets!
Cheers,
Vanessa
