Family Day Skating Party

Our MP Olivia Chow and city councillor Mike Layton are co-hosting Family Day skating parties again this year, including one at Christie Pits.
Grab your blades and head to the northwest corner of Christie Pits on February 17th at 1 pm for two hours of skating, arts and crafts and free hot chocolate.

Well, it's 10 degrees and pouring rain as I write this. But should the weather finally turn wintry, you might want to dig out and sharpen your skates for Olivia Chow's annual Family Day skating party.

3 pm until 5 pm
Come on out, lace up your skates and join Olivia for a fun-filled Family Day! What better way is there to celebrate then hit the skating rink with your friends, family and neighbours? The fun doesn’t end there: warm up with a hot chocolate and enjoy cookies and snacks. Games and activities off the ice await kids and grown-ups.Location: Christie Pits Rink, northwest corner of Christie Pits Park, at Crawford Street, north of Bloor St

Family-Day Skating Party at Christie Pits

Suddenly, it's almost February! Maybe January was particularly busy, or the fact that the kids went back to school later than normal has thrown me off, but that seemed to go by quickly.

Next month holds many treats, of course, one of them being Family Day, which falls on Mon. Feb. 20th this year.
Who couldn't use a little extra holiday time? Especially since we North Americans really suffer in that regard compared to other countries.

Anyway, if you're in town for Family Day, you might want to join our MP Olivia Chow and the Friends of Christie Pits for a 1 to 3 pm Skating Party at Christie Pits rink.

Family Day Skating Party at Bill Bolton Arena

Attention neighbourhood skaters: Monday marks the first annual Family Day Skating Party at Bill Bolton arena. (For some reason, the map says it's in East York, but we know better than that, don't we?)

So strap on those blades and join your neighbours for some good, clean fun from 2 to 4 pm.
