Get your arteries ready: Smokes Poutinerie is moving into the area.
It's taking over the Chippy's location on Bloor Street West near Albany Avenue as of June 6th.
I'm not a poutine fan, must admit. Actually find it quite gaggalicious, but I know that poutine -- particularly with non-traditional toppings -- is a bit of a fad right now, so perhaps Smokes can make a go of it.
And, let's face it, this place is not aimed at the middle-aged, family-oriented crowd. It's squarely aimed at the I'm-drunk-and-hungry, late-night crowd, along with a lunch-time crowd from the local schools. Sounds like a good fit.
