"Welcome to the online home of the Annex Singers of Toronto, an eclectic, sixty-voice community choir.
The Annex Singers is one of Toronto’s oldest community choirs. It began in 1979, with a small group of people singing Christmas carols in Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood under the direction of Lesia Deacon, a pianist and music teacher, who was our first music director. Since that time, it has grown to a membership of sixty choristers."
And what are The M Files?
"Mysterium. Magnificat. Maria. A celebration of the ancient texts of the season, as interpreted by composers spanning oceans and time. Including music by Josquin, Rachmaninoff, Raminsh, and Pärt. Featuring guest artist Sarah Christina Steinert, mezzo-soprano."
The concert takes place Dec. 14th from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.
Tickets are $20/$15.
Cheers,
Vanessa
