Real estate developer Brad Lamb recently called Annex, Beaches and High Park residents "greedy parking hogs."
Can't say that I disagree with him.
The context? Area residents who scream for more parking spaces in new condo developments. Developers say that some of the parking spaces go unsold, partly because of their expense, partly because more people are using car-sharing services, public transit and other forms of transportation.
Yet parking IS tight in certain areas of Toronto, including our own. But isn't that due to the many people who drive here in order to enjoy dinner, or a movie, or shopping?
If so, wouldn't the answer be more public parking lots?
Cheers,
Vanessa
