I shop at Metro, the former Dominion, at Robert and Bloor. I like a lot of their products, but I must admit that their fruit and veg section is a bit dismal.
So I'm also a fruit and veg stand shopper and a recent BlogTO post confirms my suspicions: some of the best fruit and vegetable stores in Toronto are in our area. I even go to the one listed in Kensington Market, a favourite afternoon outing that combines a nice bike ride, or walk.

Most of the fruit and veg stores are low on atmosphere, but the payoff is in the cheap, abundant and delicious produce.
