Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
It's been challenging for a lot of Torontonians these past few days. A quarter of a million of us lost power during a cold, yet celebratory time.

On social media, I noted many people offering up their warm homes to anyone who might need to join them.
In years to come, it just may be this Christmas, when neighbours helped neighbours; when family squeezed in together; and when strangers reached a hand out to strangers that people remember as being, well... memorable.

Merry, merry indeed.
I'll catch up with you when I'm done celebrating with my own family.
Blessings to you all,
Vanessa

Merry Christmas!

I'm afraid -- well, happy, actually -- that I'll be tied up with a lot of celebrating for the next little while. Lucky, lucky.
So I'll leave you with a Christmas song, sung by Burl Ives: I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day.
It's a bittersweet song, really, with lyrics from a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. But I find it haunting and beautiful.

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
and wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Cheers,
Vanessa

Merry Christmas
