The National Post ran an interesting article about Annex author Leah Bobet.
Her novel, Above, has an intriguing premise:
".... a group of societal outcasts live in a secret haven below the streets of Toronto. They are mutants and misfits, not X-Men but ex-men, humans suffering from an odd assortment of deformities and curses."
