BlogTO recently listed the top 10 bike rental options in Toronto and several of the establishments are in our area.
But never fear if you don't live in our area! One of them -- Bateman's -- will deliver your rental bike to you. How cool is that?
Cheers,
Vanessa

Bateman's Annual Bike Swap May 3rd & 4th 2014
Need a different bike? Or just need a bike? You should check out Bateman's Bike Swap this
weekend, but you also need to get any bike that you want to swap over to the store ASAP.
Intrigued?
Here are the details:"What is the Bateman’s Bike Swap about?
Our "swap" is a community event that we have at our 913 Bathurst St. location.
It is a new and used bike sale. Anyone can bring in their old bikes to be displayed to the public. It is an excellent way to update or upgrade your bike and it is an especially good opportunity if you are just looking to get a basic bike that works. Aside from used bikes, we also have great prices on new merchandise in store."
More details are available online.

Vanessa

Curbside Cycle Offering Don Cherry A Bike
Even though I rely on my bike a lot to get around, I don't frequent Curbside Cycle on Bloor, for various reasons that I'll keep to myself (and let you make up your own mind.)
However, I love this idea that they've come up with: "We’re giving Don Cherry a custom painted pink bike, to help him recover from “pinkogate.”
You can vote for the pattern of the bike, but only til Monday.

PS where do I take my second-hand, battered old road warrior for repairs and tune ups, you ask? Bateman's Bicycle Co. on Barton at Bathurst.
And have you ordered your t-shirt yet?
