I have to agree with this call: BlogTO has named Bloor SuperFresh, which is at the corner of Bloor St. West and Dalton Road, one of the best 24-hour grocery stores in Toronto.
This is how it's written up:
"Located in the Annex, Bloor Superfresh has a wonderful selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, and health food products, making it a great late night pit stop for those who prefer carrot sticks to ketchup chips, but don't worry they have those too." [sic]
I go there all the time for fresh fruit and veg and for some harder-to-find items, such as ethnic food kits.
There are two negatives, though: prices are higher and the bread selection, except for some kick-ass bagels, is not stellar -- but I've seen worse.
