Step Into The Light Saturday with an Annex Singers Concert

DH is a singer. Personally? Can't carry a tune. If we watch singing shows together I have to rely on him to tell me if someone is singing in tune or not.
But you don't have to be a good singer to appreciate good singing and our area has its own set of gleeful choristers: the Annex Singers.
You can catch them performing this Saturday night. Here are the details:
"Join us as we usher in Spring with a programme that celebrates the growing light of the season, featuring songs of hope and inspiration.
The keynote work of the concert will be Rutter's radiant Gloria -- we'll present the thrilling brass and organ arrangement of this piece, and are very excited to be accompanied by the Trillium Brass Quintet.
We are also delighted to be joined by up-and-coming soprano Paulina Swierczek, who will perform a set of art songs, including the world premiere of a new work by our own Maria Case. Our chamber chorus will continue its exploration of early music by performing Palestrina's Missa Aeterna Christi Munera. Other works we'll perform include Fauré's beloved Cantique de Jean Racine and Morten Lauridsen's O Nata Lux.
Saturday, March 31, 7:30pm
Bloor St United Church, 300 Bloor St W."
Tickets are $20. Click on the poster for a larger view of it with more details, or visit the website.
Cheers,
Vanessa
