Attention Songwriters and Vegetarians...

Odd headline, no? By way of explanation, this rolled into my inbox:

"
I am the Project Manager for a new Toronto-based not-for-profit organization called Vigour Projects, whose mission is to improve the health of communities through music. We are in the MaRS Social Venture Registry. Please check out our website at www.vigourprojects.com...

"We are currently running a project called "Meatless Music 4 Mondays" (MM4M) which involves a "heart-healthy" song contest, the net proceeds of which will be donated to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
The"early-bird" submission deadline is fast approaching (August 5th at noon). The early bird winner gets a pair of tickets to Paul McCartney's concert on August 8th or 9th in Toronto.
The winner of the final contest (deadline TBA) will receive recording studio time at Number 9 Audio Group, a profile review and live internet TV appearance with LynkPR on
ThatChannel.com, and will serve as the MM4M theme song. We are currently looking for even more sponsors to contribute to the prize pack.

On September 3rd, we are holding our first annual concert, called "VigourFest"... the ticket sales will be donated to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
The winner of the song contest, along with several other local, independent musicians, will be performing at VigourFest on Friday, September 3rd at Trane Studio [note from Vanessa: The Trane is on Bathurst in our area]. The Toronto Vegetarian Association will be supporting our cause by helping us partner up with local vegetarian food producers who will hand out food samples and give small cooking demos during VigourFest to promote healthy eating and behaviours.
Kind regards,
Sarah Adamson"

So, as I said: Attention Songwriters and Vegetarians. Though all of us probably would enjoy VigourFest.
Cheers,
Vanessa
