December 8th Meeting Re: Two Area Parks

This was in Councillor Adam Vaughan's latest newsletter. The parks aren't in the Annex, but certainly are within walking distance, so I thought this item might interest you:
"Public Meeting about Improvements to Sally Bird Park and Cecil Street Parkette
Sally Bird Park (on Brunswick Ave, north of Harbord St) and Cecil Parkette (NE corner of Cecil and Huron Streets) have received infrastructure funding through the Recreational Infrastructure Canada Program (RInC), funded by Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments.
Join Councillor Vaughan and Parks, Forestry and Recreation staff to set priorities and develop a design for playground improvements to these neighbourhood parks.
Date: Tuesday, December 8, 2009
Time: 6 pm - 8 pm
Location: Lillian H. Smith Library, 239 College St (at Huron), Room BC (basement)
Under the regulations of this funding, the money must be spent by March 2011 on improvements to the playgrounds at these parks, and cannot be used at any other location."
Cheers,
Vanessa
