One of the amazing things about the Bruce Peninsula is the incredibly diverse topography that exists within its boundaries.
The east side, which borders deep and wild Georgian Bay, is lined with stunning beaches of large stone and shorelines of massive rock slabs abutting deep, cold water. It also is home to places such as the beach at The Grotto, which I posted an image of earlier.
The west side, which borders more tame Lake Huron, features generally shallow-water, sandy shorelines. At Singing Sands, you can walk for a long, long time in the water prior to getting waist deep.
And inland there are lakes reminiscient of ones in Muskoka, or any more typical cottage country. This is Cypress Lake at sunset, an occasion we marked each day by sitting on the quiet shoreline and watching the multi-coloured show, which was reflected faithfully in the still, quiet water.
Enjoy,
Vanessa
