Petition for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi

This has nothing to do with The Annex, or Toronto, but I feel strongly about it. Avaaz has an online petition to protest the reincarceration of Aung San Suu Kyi in Burma.
I think it resonates with me so much because I remember writing protest letters -- pre-Internet -- about her situation at least 20 years ago. During that time, she's spent more time behind bars than enjoying freedom. She also won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991, which is just one of her many accolades.
I hope you'll take the moment or two it requires to sign the petition.
Many thanks,
Vanessa

Hey Vanessa what a good idea. Certainly helps me keep in touch with my old neighbourhood, circa 1946-49, and in other ways.like your Auung San Suu Kyi efforts too, will sign
Re Aida, I once saw this performed live at... Maple Leaf Gardens. It did not work out too well!No doubt To. showing you mentioned will.Best to all.Dick
PS AIDA was also a phrase to help us young copy writers to succeed. Attention, interest ,desire and action were to be created. Alex Phare, the old philosopher taught me that. Perhaps Helen recalls him.
