Broccoli Salad Recipe

I was at my sister's farm this weekend and she has a gorgeous garden rife with verdant vegetation.
For those of us with sunless yards, it was a treasure to behold.
The broccoli was in full bloom and seeing it reminded me of this salad recipe.
It's great anytime, but it's a particularly good party salad when you have to bring one along to a potluck. Unlike other salads that get soggy after being dressed, this one actually benefits from a bit of sitting after the dressing is added.
Enjoy!

Broccoli salad
1 bunch fresh broccoli
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
1/2 cup light mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

In a medium bowl, stir together the mayo, sugar and vinegar.
Cut broccoli tops into bite-size pieces and add to mixture.
Add raisins and sunflower seeds.
Mix well.
