Fringe D n D at Snakes and Lattes

There's another Toronto Fringe Festival opportunity in our area at Snakes and Lattes.
The premise? "What happens when you put Dungeons & Dragons, a character-based role playing game, in front of an audience?"
No doubt some of you are gagging right now and some of you are quite excited.
For the latter group, read more about the performances today and on the 14th and 16th.
Cheers,
Vanessa

Fringe at the MNJCC

war of the clowns

The Fringe Festival begins tomorrow. On our doorstep, at the MNJcc at Spadina and Bloor, you can catch War of the Clowns.
Here's the scoop:
"Street performers are banished from their town by the clown-hating Captain General Vaggis. They get caught up in a peasant revolt and inevitably face the General's massive army. The stage is set for the first (and only) War of the Clowns. Pea Green Theatre (Fringe Hits: Barbeque King, Conservatives in Love) brings this modern Commedia dell'arte play (based on 17th century historical events!)

War of the Clowns by Mark Brownell to our playground. Directed by Sue Miner.

DATE: Wednesday, July 6 - Saturday, July 16

TIME: 9:30 p.m.

INFO: Esther Arbeid 416-924-6211 x 606 or theatre@mnjcc.org

Abra-Cadaver at Tarragon Extra Space

I saw a handout for a play that looks interesting, Abra-Cadaver, then noticed that it's part of the Toronto Fringe Festival. Seems like that year went by in a blink...
(As for the play... "Legendary New York City literary wit, Dorothy Parker, spent her entire life trying to kill herself. She failed every time. Join 100 year-old Dorothy in this dark comedy as she takes you on the ride of her life… and death.")
Abra-Cadaver takes place at the Tarragon Extra Space, on our doorstep, for four performances from July 6 to 12th.
Cheers,
Vanessa
