Attention commuters: there is flooding at Bathurst Station and the TTC is bypassing it.

TTC Transit Fare Collector Shot

Sad news: a TTC transit fare collector was shot last night at Dupont Subway Station at Spadina and Dupont.

According to 680 News, he "remains in serious condition."

Apparently, the attack was an attempted robbery gone wrong.

LEAF Garden on Walmer

When I grocery shop, I usually lock up my bike by the Walmer entrance to the Spadina subway station. Recently I noticed that the concrete area had a new addition: a long and narrow swath of garden.

It's called an Urban Forest Demonstration Garden and it highlights native plants.

Yeah! The more gardens the better, after all.

The garden is the work of LEAF and there are more of them in the city, all on TTC property. Fabulous!

I Can Think of More Romantic Places...

Well, this is interesting! There's not a lot of news to share with you this a.m., but there was an "incident" that happened at our very own Spadina subway on Sunday.
Well, on the station platform.
In front of everyone.
It involved an inebriated couple.
