Did you miss Summerlicious? The 'licious dining event ended this weekend. But never fear! DH and a friend and I enjoyed a lovely meal at Corner House, on Davenport, and learned that they are extending their Summerlicious special menu to the end of the summer.
Our meal there was fabulous and, as the name would suggest, the restaurant is situated in a house and features a lovely outdoor patio, too.
Bon appetit.

Summerlicious Begins July 9th
It doesn't kick off til July 9th, but sometimes planning is required to enjoy the best Summerlicious meals. Menu choices to be perused, friends to call, reservations to be made...
In our area, six restaurants are participating: 93 Harbord, Bistro Tournesol, Corner House, Prime, Southern Accent and The Host Fine Indian Cuisine.

Summerlicious Find: 5th Elementt
Summerlicious started last night and DH and I took the opportunity to grab a romantic meal alone since we picked the kids up from residential camp this a.m.
What a meal! We went to 5th Elementt at 1033 Bay Street; I went with a friend for a fabulous Summerlicious lunch last year and was hopeful that the dinner would be just as smashing.
And it was.
I don't know about you, but some Summer/Winterlicious meals have left me rather cold lately... they just were not overly impressive.
But the food at 5th Elementt knocks my socks off! It's billed as "fusion" and has definite Indian and Italian overtones. But that doesn't sound appetizing... just go, eat, enjoy.
I guarantee you'll love it, just like these people did. Even better, it's at the low price scale of Summerlicious with a $25 dinner that includes appetizer, main and dessert. (Lunch is only $15).
A little tip: we sat on the patio, which = not romantic. Ensure you get an inside table.
Bon appetit,
Vanessa
