Jane Jacobs' House

One of our area's claims to fame is that urban planning guru Jane Jacobs lived here.
She lived on my stretch of street and I liked her ideas, so I mourned her passing.
I always wondered who bought her house, too.
I'm so happy that it's somebody who appreciated her legacy.

When A Place Gets Boring...

Found an interesting online article in The Atlantic by Richard Florida that mentions The Annex.
He quotes something that Jane Jacobs told him that I haven't seen printed elsewhere and that I quite like:
"Well, Richard, you must understand: when a place gets boring, even the rich people leave."
