Toronto Savvy published a pic of The Vessel in Taddle Creek Park and, I must admit, I didn't even know it was there.
I like the explanation for it, though: "Once upon a time, TADDLE CREEK wended its way through downtown TORONTO ending up in Lake Ontario. The Creek is now buried under the city, but its whimsical name lingers on. Water from The Vessel is stored in an underground cistern and is used to irrigate the park. The sculpture also acts as a fountain."
As loyal readers will know, I have a fascination with Toronto's underground waterways, one sparked when I wrote a story about them long ago.
I will have to do the Lost Rivers walk one day!
Cheers,
Vanessa
