"Toronto casino consultation feedback closes on January 25
The City of Toronto's casino consultation closes at
midnight on January 25, when all feedback forms must be received by the City or
submitted online.
Members of the public can get information, download
materials and provide their input at http://www.toronto.ca/casinoconsultation/.
To date more than 11,000 feedback forms have been received. The City's public
open-houses, held during the past two weeks, attracted over 1,100 participants
from across the City, many of whom completed feedback forms at the sessions.
The consultation process is intended to gather input,
including the public's views and opinions on a casino generally, on possible
locations for a casino, and what the public would like City Council to consider
when making a decision on this matter.
The feedback will assist City Manager Joe Pennachetti in
the preparation of his report to Toronto's Executive Committee expected in
March. The findings of the consultation will be made available to the public on
the City's web site.
Interested residents may also submit written comments or
make a deputation when the report is considered by the City's Executive
Committee. To register for updates about the Casino Consultation please visit http://www.toronto.ca/e-updates/
add your email address and check the box beside the “Toronto Casino
Consultation”."
Cheers,
Vanessa
