I'm only one-quarter Swedish. The rest of me is Brit, so I grew up eating roast beef on Sunday and Shepherd's Pie on Monday. Every. Single. Week.
Consequently, I could care less if I ever eat either again, particularly Shepherd's Pie. (A contributing factor might be my years in the food biz. I quickly discovered that chefs put Shepherd's Pie on the menu when they have bits and scraps of leftover meat that needs to be used up. As we say in our family, "ew-ah!")
But I know that some people love British food and I also know, from having dined back on The Old Sod, that modern British food can be quite good, despite its lingering reputation.
The British Food fans in the crowd might want to check out The Bristol Yard on Christie St.
Several reviews say that it serves all the food that you would expect and also does it quite well.
Cheers,
Vanessa
