Riot at Christie Pits

In this day and age, it's hard for us to imagine an event like the Christie Pits riot.
But you know what they say about forgetting the past...
I follow a Facebook page called Vintage Toronto, which just posted this and called it the only known picture of the 1933 riot that lasted six hours and took place on our doorstep.
A battle between Gentiles and Jews, it happened in 1933 when anti-Semitism was on the rise around the globe.
