Financial Help To Plant Backyard Trees

This rolled in from the ARA. Do I really have to say that I'm a tree fan? After all, is anyone against trees?
Cheers,
Vanessa

"Dear Neighbours,
The wonderful tree canopy in our neighbourhood is part of the appeal of the Annex, but gaps in the canopy are developing as some of our shade trees are reaching the end of their lives. If you have a space in your backyard that would accommodate a shade tree, TreesPlease will help you get one. We will cover part of the cost of an arborist, who will recommend species and planting locations to ensure the tree has enough room to grow, both above and below ground.
There are many benefits from shade trees beyond their beauty. They have been shown to increase the value of your home by an average of 18%. They also absorb greenhouse gases. In addition, the unseen root systems stabilize the water table. And, of course, the shade these trees provide has a cooling effect on your home in summer.
The community organization LEAF (Local Enhancement and Appreciation of Forests) offers a full service Backyard Tree Planting Program to residents of the City of Toronto. The price per tree ranges from $150 to $220, with the consultation, tree and planting costs all included.
TreesPlease further subsidizes the program for Annex residents with a $50.00 voucher.
This offer is made possible by our generous partner, Livegreen Toronto
Quantities are limited, as is the tree fall planting season, so please let us know by September 20 if you would like to receive the TreesPlease $50.00 discount voucher. For details on how you can benefit from this voucher towards your fall 2012 backyard tree planting, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
