Samuel Pepys Diary

Things are slow around the city -- not that I'm complaining! Things should be slow during the lazy, hot days of summer.
So instead of neighbourhood news, I'm sharing a link to Samuel Pepys (pronounced "peeps," so you can sound hip) diary. I had no idea that the entire document is online; brilliant!
I don't think it's exaggerating to say that Pepys and Anne Frank are the most famous diarists ever.
The beauty of Pepys' writing is that it illuminates day-to-day life in London in the mid-1600s.
BTW, if you've ever said, "so to bed," you've been parroting the famous last line of many of his entries.
Happy reading!
Vanessa
