Attention history buffs:
"Heritage Toronto is partnering with the ROM and the Toronto Public Library to present the War of 1812 Bicentennial Talks, supported by The McLean Foundation and Luminato.
Join us for this unique series of seven lectures, debates and conversations commemorating the bicentennial of the War of 1812. Hear an introduction to the War, and learn how the war affected areas beyond the former Town of York (now Toronto) - in Scarborough, Etobicoke, and the area north of the town (York Township). Enjoy a popular ROM History Wars debate, or a Toronto Public Library conversation and lecture.
All events but the ROM debate are free.
Series begins with:
1812: THE BIG PICTURE
