John's Italian Restaurant on Bathurst

A question today: I walked past John's Italian Restaurant on the west side of Bathurst, south of Dupont, yesterday and noticed it for the first time.
Has anyone tried it? Or know anything about it? The menu looked interesting.
Cheers,
Vanessa

Johns Italian Cafe formerly located on the venerable Baldwin resteraunt strip.

This is good news Vanessa. I have eaten at the old location a few times over the years and was always very happy with the food and service. I hope those qualities - and a sustainable clientele - have moved with it to the new location.

Incidentally, across the road from the new location is a neat looking sandwich shop. I forget the name but I did read a good writeup in BlogTO. Has anybody checked it out yet? Every time I go by it is not open.

Hey tfor! I'm pretty sure this is a different one. I know John's on Baldwin; that strip is one of my faves, too, and the last time I went by, John's was still there. (Going to Baldwin Street Bodega for Winterlicous, but I digress.)
It actually occurred to me that this one has an unfortunate name because people will get confused.
And, no, I haven't tried the new sandwich shop.
Have you tried One Love Veg closer to Bloor on Bathurst? I was going to post about it, too.

Sorry tfor -- you were right! The new place is an offshoot of the original John's.

And there is a John's Classic Pizza on College.
Happy to learn that the one on Baldwin is still there, though!
