Cora Pizza on Spadina near Harbord was closed down by the city because of a rat "infestation."

Strike Good In Some Ways?

Although it's titled The Rats Come Out To Play, there's an interesting Toronto Star article that says "City parks are looking less manicured and more like meadows. Nature is having its way with us. And this part, we like."
It's a good read. And a good reminder about how rapidly our groomed, controlled, trimmed and tidy world can revert to its natural form.
Which includes rats, mind you.
