Bike Month Begins Tomorrow With Bike To Work Day

I get to work these days by rolling out of bed and sitting at my computer, which is ten feet away. But if you work in an office, time to dust off your two-wheeler: tomorrow is Bike To Work day.
Tomorrow's event kicks off Bike Month, which features many group rides; the ECOWHEELS show; a Bike Friendly Business workshop; Get to Know Bike Polo (yes, polo on bikes!) and much more.
Hop on and join in!
Cheers,
Vanessa

Bike Month Events

It's Bike Month and there's a whole slew of events planned around the city.
Our own Karma Co-op is hosting a Bike Day on June 6th and there'll be a West Toronto Railpath Opening Parade June 20th. Don't know where I've been, but it's the first that I've heard of the railpath, which will link the Junction neighbourhood to downtown in a car-free zone.

That's cause for celebration! I'm sure I'm not alone in that my least favourite part of biking in TO is the constant diligence required to a) not get a "door prize" b) not run over someone who steps on to a bike lane without looking c) not get squashed by a turning truck.

And all this writing about biking reminds me that I happened to catch the Bells On Bloor gang riding by on Sunday -- never seem to have the time to join, though.
Cheers,
Vanessa
