My sister, Jennifer Ring, is an avid bird enthusiast and a great
artist. (Yes, I'm biased.
Stating it upfront!)
Recently she launched the website JensPen to sell her
fabulous drawings of birds and other animals.
And I quote:
"The starting point for each image was an original drawing of
a bird or animal which I matched with various papers, some with personal
meaning, such as a friend's handwriting; a typewritten letter from a time now
past; my grandfather's yellowed medical chart from WW1..."
The use of personal and found material as background for her
drawings really captures my imagination!
