The Brunswick House Applying To Expand Its Capacity

During the years, there have been rumblings in the community about The Brunswick House at the southeast corner of Brunswick and Bloor.
According to an OpenFile story, the establishment "would like its license expanded so that it can serve 600 people instead of the current 502."
Our local councillor, Adam Vaughan, recommended not allowing the increase because "there have been numerous complaints about the Premises from residents in the area. Complaints range from public drunkenness, public urination, vandalism, theft, noise and trespassing. Residents in the area are concerned for their safety because of what they perceive to be an increase in violence and vandalism."
To the Brunny: um, no. Just no.

PS The Toronto Star has weighed in with a story, too.
