Technology, Health and the Environment Talk at the Evergreen Brick Works

Okay, it's not in our area! But it looks interesting and two of the speakers live in our area... so there.
The Evergreen Brick Works site is one of the joys of the city, nestled in and bringing life back to the Don Valley.
It's the site for a new T.H.E. series of talks, T=technology, H=Health and E=the Environment.
Here's the scoop:

Technology, Health and the Environment for the Age of Collaboration
Keynote Speaker: Don Tapscott
Panelists: Dr. Mike Evans, Geoff Cape
Moderator: Gill Deacon, bestselling author, Green for Life (Penguin, 2008) and TV broadcaster

T.H.E. Series is a brand-new speakers’ series that explores Technology, Health and the Environment and the new and critical ways in which they intersect. Led by some of the most interesting thinkers in the world, T.H.E. Series will challenge our views and inspire innovation.

In the inaugural session, Don Tapscott will focus on Technology, Health and the Environment for the Age of Collaboration. Hot on the heels of his newest book,Macrowikinomics, Tapscott argues we are at a turning point in history. The old industrial economy has finally run out of gas and the great recession has kick started the transition to a new set of institutions based on a new set of principles and a new modus operandi. Technology creates a new collaborative platform enabling humanity to sustain our planet, our health and our existence. Drawing on an entirely new set of original research conducted with countless collaborators, Macrowikinomics explains how the world’s most dynamic innovators are using the Internet and new business models to transform industries ranging from manufacturing and transportation to global problem solving. Technology, health and the environment are three axes of transformation, each inextricably intertwined.
Dr. Mike Evans and Geoff Cape will expand on this line of thinking and offer their thoughts before concluding with plans for the future of T.H.E. Series."
Cheers,
Vanessa
