Viva Italia! In Hogtown....

It's a bright, beautiful sunny day out there! If you want something to do, why not celebrate at street festivals that are closed to traffic?
Here's the scoop about Feet On The Street, which is just north of us on St. Clair:
"Pedestrians will be able to enjoy and discover all that St. Clair Avenue West has to offer during the St. Clair Feet on the Street event on Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20.

A pedestrian celebration, St. Clair Feet on the Street will see St. Clair Avenue West closed to cars, but not streetcars, in both directions between Vaughan Road and Winona Drive on Saturday, June 19 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and all day Sunday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The event will feature sidewalk sales and displays, information tables for businesses along the street, and restaurant/café patios operating on the sidewalks.
In addition to buskers, there will be free heritage streetcar rides on June 20. Those in attendance are encouraged to come up with other creative ways to use the pedestrian space."

Then, just to the south of us is Taste of Little Italy from noon to 10 pm along College Street from Bathurst to Shaw. The area is "turned into an Italian piazza with walking access to restaurants, shops and music on every corner. Some of the cuisine offered includes veal sandwiches, burgers, vegetables, grilled chicken, shrimp and much more."

Enjoy!
Vanessa
