Christie Pits will be hopping this weekend during the 17th Annual Dano Spring Festival sponsored by the Korea Town BIA.Featuring live music, Korean culture shows -- including Taekwondo, Korean instruments and dances -- business booths and great food.
In the past, Dano, the 5th day of May in the lunar calendar, was an important day on which people would hold sacrificial rituals to the heavens to wish for a good harvest while resting for a while after transplanting the rice.
Sounds like a fun way to spend the day.
